The pros and cons of several candidates are discussed, including:
- Will Friend, OL coach for the Vols
- Freddie Kitchens, OC for the Cleveland Browns
- Dan Enos, QB coach for Alabama
- Bryan McClendon, OC for South Carolina
- Chip Lindsey, OC for Auburn
and a couple of unemployed former head coaches:
- Hugh Freeze
- Kliff Kingsbury.
While Freeze or Kingsbury would be the "hot" choice, I'd think stability in the program would be of importance right now, and both of those coaches are going to be looking to return to the head coaching ranks ASAP.
Kitchens, McClendon, and Lindsey would be looking at lateral moves if they were to take the job, and those don't happen a lot. So, does it boil down to Friend or Enos?
